This website (yoweichen.com) is the personal professional site of Dr. Yo-wei Chen. It is a simple informational site with one contact form. This policy explains what limited information the site collects, how it is used, and the third-party services that help operate it.

Information collected

The site collects personal information only when you choose to submit the contact form. That includes:

The inquiry type you select (patient, attorney, dentist, or other)
Your name and email address
The message you write

As with any website, the hosting provider automatically records standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and time of request in server logs. This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies; aggregate visit statistics are collected without cookies (see Cookies and tracking below).

How the information is used

Contact-form submissions are used solely to read and respond to your inquiry. Your information is not sold, rented, or used for marketing, and it is not shared with anyone except the service providers below that are needed to deliver the message.

Service providers

A few third-party services process data on our behalf. Each has its own privacy policy:

Formspree — receives and forwards contact-form submissions to Dr. Chen's email.
Cloudflare — provides Turnstile (spam protection on the form), email routing for the contact address, and DNS. Cloudflare Turnstile is privacy-focused and is used only to confirm that a submission comes from a real person, not to track or profile you.
Vercel — hosts the website, serves its pages, and provides cookieless aggregate analytics (Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights).

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and does not build a profile of you across the web. It uses Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, privacy-focused, cookieless services that record aggregate page-view and page-performance data — such as page URL, referring site, country, and device type — without cookies and without storing information that identifies you individually. Cloudflare Turnstile may store a short-lived technical token in your browser only to complete the spam-protection check when you submit the form.

Data retention

Contact-form messages are kept as email for as long as needed to respond to and follow up on your inquiry, then deleted in the normal course. You may ask to have your message and details removed at any time.

Not a channel for medical information. The contact form is not a secure or HIPAA-compliant channel. Please do not include detailed medical or dental history in your message. Any clinical information is collected only through the dental offices' own secure intake process.

Your choices and contact

To ask what information is held, request a correction, or request deletion, email contact@yoweichen.com. Because the site collects so little, most requests can be handled quickly.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will appear on this page with a revised "last updated" date.
